Technical Architect - Product Startup - IIT/NIT

Responsibilities

- Architect and develop a scalable smart home platform that seamlessly integrates diverse smart devices, ensuring optimal performance and user experience on both on-premises and cloud servers.

- Tackle unique technical challenges like optimizing local data processing, ensuring real-time responsiveness, and managing device interoperability ensuring robust and secure solutions.

- Translate business requirements into innovative, user-friendly solutions that enhance the smart home experience.

- Lead and mentor development teams, fostering a culture of excellence and setting industry best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.

- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring project success and stability.

- Champion a user-centric approach, ensuring that all developments prioritize user needs and enhance the overall smart home experience.

What We're looking for:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a Tier 1 college

- 7+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex cloud as well as on-premises systems.

- Deep expertise in backend development languages like Python, Java, or Go, and experience with modern frameworks like Django, Flask, or Gin.

- Proficiency in designing and managing databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

- Familiarity with IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, Zigbee, Z-Wave) and experience integrating IoT devices into on-premises software platforms.

- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, with a focus on protecting sensitive data within a local network environment.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

- A genuine interest in smart home technology and a desire to make a meaningful impact on how people live and interact with their homes

Preferred Experience Requirements

- Publications in top relevant venues (e.g., TPAMI, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, KDD, WWW, SIGIR, AAAI, IJCAI, etc.).

- Basic knowledge about Amazon Web Services (AWS).

- Experience with the smart home industry or voice technology.
