Position Overview?
- The Solution Architect/Consultant Digital Workplace Services is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing workplace technology solutions that align with business goals and enhance employee productivity.
- This role involves collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver innovative and scalable workplace solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design and Architecture:
- Develop end-to-end digital workplace solutions, encompassing hardware, software, collaboration tools, and IT support services.
- Design scalable and secure architectures that leverage modern technologies, including cloud-based platforms, virtualization, and automation tools.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with organizational strategies and industry standards.
Technology Expertise:
- Evaluate and recommend workplace technologies such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, collaboration platforms, device management tools (e.g., Intune, Jamf), and remote work solutions.
- Incorporate emerging trends such as hybrid work, AI-driven support, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) into solutions.
- Optimize user experience by integrating intuitive tools and interfaces.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and address technical concerns.
- Act as a trusted advisor for customers, providing insights on best practices, technology trends, and potential risks.
- Lead workshops and technical discussions to refine requirements and ensure solution alignment.
Implementation and Support:
- Guide implementation teams during the deployment of solutions, ensuring adherence to the architecture.
- Collaborate with IT operations teams to ensure the effective transition from project delivery to operational support.

Security and Compliance:
- Design workplace solutions that comply with security frameworks, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and organizational policies.
- Implement robust endpoint management, identity and access management (IAM), and threat protection solutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Develop detailed architectural documentation, including technical designs, workflows, and operational manuals.
- Create reports and dashboards to monitor the performance and effectiveness of digital workplace solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in workplace technologies such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, VDI solutions (e.g., Citrix, VMware), and collaboration tools like Teams and Zoom.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, endpoint security, and identity management solutions.
Architectural Skills:
- Experience with TOGAF, Zachman, or similar architectural frameworks.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance workplace solutions.
- Experience in system integration and interoperability of various IT systems.
Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can drive efficiency and innovation.
- Ability to align technology solutions with business goals and ROI considerations.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or VMware Certified Professional.
- ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant work experience in IT architecture or digital workplace solutions.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT solutions, with at least 5 years in a solution architect or equivalent role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing workplace solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
