Countries and corporations have pledged to significantly reduce GHG emissions in order to become climate neutral. In addition, decarbonization means creating long-term value for stakeholders which will ultimately not only pay off but also open up completely new business opportunities.

With EY ET&D, we are offering a holistic end-to-end service that underlies everything we do and is a comprehensive response to these challenges. Our practice focuses exclusively on all business issues related to Energy transition & decarbonization (from strategy development, target setting, implementation and reporting).

Your key responsibilities :

As a team member of ET&D in Mumbai/ Delhi/ Bangalore, you will support the team in its activities with national and international clients on driving engagements around New Energy GTM, Decarbonization, Energy substitution, Circular Economy, etc - with passion, flexibility, and a strong appetite for change. In doing so, you will take on a variety of supporting tasks:

- Support clients in developing energy substitution and decarbonization strategies for their businesses

- Support clients in implementing decarbonization measures

- Develop ideas how to adapt target operating models

- Develop ideas for (more) cleaner products, services, and business models

- Support teams in their go-to-market activities (incl. events, thought leadership, project proposals)

Skills and attributes for success :

To qualify for the role you must have :

- University degree (Bachelor and/or Masters)

- Degree in energy, environmental science, business, environmental economics, sustainability, or similar field will be an advantage

- 5+ years of professional experience in Business consulting, leading innovation and/or consulting projects in industries (Energy, Metals & Mining, Manufacturing etc)

- Any relevant experience in the new energies like Green Hydrogen, Solar, Wind, Biomass/Biofuel will be a plus

- Passion for new business creation with hands-on approach and entrepreneurial mindset to make new business work

- New business creation skills and expertise including profound knowledge of sustainable products, services, business development, business model innovation and business case development

- Bid advisory, market assessment, project management, contract management related experience/skills could help one excel in this role

- High motivation and passion for sustainability, climate change and decarbonization

- Team player and eager to learn new tools and roll-up sleeves to get the job done

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem solving, dynamic working style, well organized and structured.
