The key responsibilities and accountabilities for ensuring the portfolio health of the Project and Structured Finance division can be summarized as follows:

Credit Coverage and Monitoring System :

- Build a robust credit coverage and monitoring system to identify, measure, monitor, and manage risks in the overall portfolio and individual borrowers.

- Gather market intelligence through various sources such as borrower's bankers, credit rating agencies, company management, and industry players.

- Take responsibility for managing the overall credit quality of the portfolio and stay aware of macro and sectoral issues.

- Benchmark the credit monitoring policy against industry standards and continuously improve it.

- Monitor compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.

Portfolio Monitoring and Data Analytics :

- Perform portfolio monitoring by analyzing fundamentals, reviewing ratings, and evaluating industry performance.

- Use data analytics tools to track pending compliances, gaps in security creation, and collateral valuation.

- Formulate compliance processes for new and existing business and suggest mitigant steps to preserve or recover collateral value.

- Develop risk-based data analytics tools to predict early warning signals and improve lending decisions.

- Ensure timely adherence to post-sanction compliances.

End Use of Funds and Project Monitoring :

- Ensure proper utilization of funds, adequate insurance coverage, and complete legal documentation.

- Monitor escrow statements, cash flow performance, and timely receipt of payments from borrowers.

- Conduct regular site visits and meetings with company management to assess project progress.

- Take proactive actions when risk metrics are breached or have potential risks.

- Upgrade credit procedures and ensure compliance with internal and external lending rules.

Risk Identification of Under Construction and Operational Projects :

- Monitor under construction and operational projects, collaborating with the Business and Credit Teams.

- Utilize technologies such as satellite image analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for risk identification and field interventions.

- Use remote project monitoring tools to identify and predict project delays and losses.

- Evaluate cost and time overruns and suggest mitigating measures.

- Maintain regular interaction with project stakeholders and attend project-related meetings.

Documentation Mechanism and MIS Reporting :

- Establish a robust documentation mechanism for business proposals.

- Develop management information system (MIS) reporting for risk management areas.

- Maintain accurate reports and analysis of portfolio risk variances and trends.

- Present periodic MIS to the Head of Credit Monitoring and other internal and external stakeholders.
