Telesales Team Lead - Job Description Summary
- The Telesales Team Lead is a key role within the sales department, responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of telesales representatives to meet sales targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Team Lead is tasked with ensuring the success of the telesales team by developing and implementing effective sales strategies, monitoring performance, and providing leadership and support to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- The Telesales Team Lead supervises a team of telesales representatives, providing mentorship, support, and regular feedback to ensure the team's performance aligns with company goals.
- Regular performance evaluations are conducted to assess individual and team progress.
- The Team Lead is also responsible for fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and individual growth.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed team targets.
- The Team Lead monitors and analyzes sales metrics to identify areas for improvement and works closely with the Sales Manager to set and track team goals and KPIs.
Training & Development:
- The Telesales Team Lead is responsible for the ongoing training and development of team members, ensuring they have the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to perform their roles effectively.
- Continuous coaching is provided to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining strong customer relationships is a key responsibility of the Team Lead.
- The role also involves handling escalated customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring they are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Reporting & Analysis:
- The Telesales Team Lead prepares and presents regular sales reports to the Sales Manager, highlighting the performance of the team and identifying areas for improvement.
- Sales data is analyzed to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, informing strategy adjustments as needed.
Process Improvement:
- The role includes identifying and implementing process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the telesales team.
- The Team Lead stays updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the telesales process.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in telesales as a Team Lead is required, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in leading and managing a sales team is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
