Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead and manage a team of Project Accountants and Fixed Asset specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, helping them develop their technical skills and knowledge.

- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring accountability and ownership within the team.

- Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional growth.

Project Accounting Management:

- Develop and implement efficient processes for project cost tracking, budgeting, and variance analysis.

- Ensure timely and accurate recording of project costs, including labor, materials, and overhead expenses.

- Work closely with project managers to track project progress and identify potential cost overruns.

- Prepare comprehensive project accounting reports for management review.

Fixed Asset Management:

- Oversee the entire fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, depreciation, maintenance, and disposal.

- Ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping of all fixed assets according to accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

- Conduct periodic fixed asset inventories and reconciliation procedures.

- Implement controls to safeguard fixed assets and minimize risk of loss or damage.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulations for project accounting and fixed asset management.

- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to projects and fixed assets.

- Work closely with the finance team to consolidate financial data and support the overall financial reporting process.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

- Continuously evaluate and improve project accounting and fixed asset management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Stay informed of industry best practices and implement innovative solutions to optimize financial operations.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project accounting and/or fixed asset management (adjust experience based on your company's needs).

- Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating a team of accounting professionals.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and project accounting methodologies.

- In-depth knowledge of fixed asset management processes and best practices.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with the ability to build strong relationships within the team and across departments.

- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
