JOB PURPOSE :
Reporting to the HOD of Internal Audit, the Team Lead Internal Audit will act in a leadership role to lead the Audit team in accordance with Corporate Audit's charter, vision and mission. The Team Lead of Internal Audit is responsible for the management and overall execution of assurance-related activities, including but not limited to regulatory compliance, financial and operational audits; as well as ensuring a comprehensive risk assessment and a targeted audit response plan.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Review and approve quarterly audit plans and execute the audit schedules within the timelines
- Bring in best practices of audit in the industry through sectoral research and through internal process standardization
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships via proper communications, stating clear audit information requirements and through open feedback
- Enhance process efficiency through automation and by developing better MIS system
- Ensure robust document management system in line with the regulatory requirements
- Provide direction and oversight to ensure development of audit findings that clearly communicate the risk's root causes and recommend improvements
- Ensure audit team has the skills and competency to execute the audit response plans
