Job Profile
- Lead team of data scientists to provide predictive and prescriptive statistical modeling
Responsibilities
1. Track, monitor and manage analysis projects.
2. Performs hands-on analysis work.
3. Lead and direct the work of others.
4. Establishes and maintain relationships with North America team, end customers, software development and implementation teams.
5. Proactively communicate with customers (external and internal).
6. Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
7. Research, report and correct any quality assurance issues.
8. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
9. Experience analyzing consumer sales or B2B sales and marketing data: market mix analysis, elasticity modeling, consumer choice modeling, demand forecasting, price forecasting
10. Experience running statistical data analysis on large real world data sets using techniques like clustering, regression trees, time series forecasting, regression analysis and maximum likelihood estimation
11. Experience developing algorithms in a high level language or matrix language (R, Matlab, GAUSS, C++, Python, Java) to perform the techniques listed in the previous bullet.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
1. Master’s degree (M.Sc., M.C.A, M.Tech) in statistics, math, operations research or equivalent. Preferred institutions: IIT, ISI or IIM.
2. (2+ years) experience working in customer facing role
3. (5+ years) hands on experience with statistical computing using a statistical, mathematical or general purpose language like SAS, R, Matlab, C++/Java.
4. (5+ years) hands on experience analyzing large scale, real world data sets and the interpretation thereof from a business perspective.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
1. Experience with pricing or marketing analytics
2. Experience with mathematical price optimization
