The Global Credit& Special situations Middle Office seeks to provide first-class support service to its various internal clients with a particular focus on the relationship between trading risk positions and P&L components. We are looking to recruit an individual to work in the Credit Derivatives and Bonds P&L / Product Control production area. The candidate will be expected to work closely with their UK counterparts to complete and deliver the EMEA Credit P&L to all trading desks. The primary responsibility is to deliver accurate and timely p&ls and related control work.
Primary products covered will include: credit default swaps, credit index swaps, interest rate swaps, total return swaps, interest rate futures, fx, and bonds
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of the Team's daily & Monthly processes
- Working with team manager to action People, Process & Technology initiatives across the Credit function
- Report progress at an appropriate level - ensuring minimal overhead/maximum effect
- Identification and resolution of booking, system and process issues.
- Establish relationships across departments to ensure structures are appropriately captured for accounting, valuation and settlement purposes
- Ownership of projects, resolving roadblocks, communicating updates to senior management.
- Investigate and resolve pre and post cash settlement discrepancies and non-receipts.
- Implement improvements to the system infrastructure & control environment
Requirements :
Education :
- Numerate degree
- Graduate or Post Graduation in finance from any university with minimum 60%
Experience Range :
- The overall experience of >5 years prior trade control and Investment Banking environment
Mandatory skills
- Experience of Investment Banking Products from a Middle Office or Back Office background (trade capture, documentation, trade support experience, etc.)
- Strong communication & negotiation skills across all levels of seniority including especially with the Trading desk
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a high pressured environment.
- A logical approach to problem-solving and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Proven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to notice minor discrepancies/issues
- Ability to identify and deliver process improvements
- Can demonstrate good Excel skills (macros, formulas)
- Track alleged novations, identify counterparty amendments, track consent process in ICE and Marketwire
- Ensure new trades are matched in DTCC before 5 PM on T+1 (if non C=C)
- Roll-Over Trade workflow requires coordination with Sales & Trading and the Client.
