Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Oversee and coordinate daily team activities, ensuring smooth operations and timely achievement of collection targets.
- Conduct performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance individual and team performance.
- Manage team workload and delegate tasks effectively based on skillsets and strengths.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Motivation & Leadership:
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their full potential and consistently exceed collection goals.
- Build a strong team spirit and promote positive working relationships.
- Identify and address performance issues, implementing corrective action plans as needed.
Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive collection strategies aligned with company objectives and regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze collection data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
- Set clear performance targets for the team and monitor progress towards achieving them.
Training & Development:
- Conduct training sessions to equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge, including:
- Collections procedures and regulations
- Effective communication techniques
- Conflict resolution strategies
- Customer service excellence
- Identify and recommend training opportunities for continuous professional development.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduation in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline)
- Master's degree is a preference
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a Team Lead or similar leadership role (collections experience highly preferred)
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both team members and customers.
- Proven leadership qualities such as motivation, coaching, and delegation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth understanding of collections practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, collections software (e. , skip tracing tools, CRM) and data analysis tools (e. , Excel).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bilingual skills (English and another language) are a valuable asset depending on the customer base.
