Plant Controller/Financial Controller based in Thailand

Plant location - Hua Samrong, Plaeng Yao District, Chachoengsao 24190, Thailand

Overview:

The plant controller is a critical member of the TE Gateway plant management team responsible for achieving the business target and reporting the actual results and responsible for the leadership and coaching of the finance team. This position will serve as a business partner to the site's General Manager to develop and execute the business strategy of JASEAN vertical integration and localization, oversee financial activities of the plant, ensure policies and procedures are followed and build strong relationships with key leaders in both Japan and ASEAN to effectively drive financial performance.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee month-end close process through journal entry reviews, variance analysis to forecast/budget, and account reconciliation reviews

- Manage the forecasting, budgeting and annual recosting

- Manage preparation and delivery of all financial information related with plant performance, including standard costs and hourly rate, CERs, cost improvements, in compliance with TE Financial manual policies and practices.

- Support the vertical integration and localization with value added analysis

- Maintain compliance with TE accounting policies focused on maintaining the strong control environment around inventory and fixed assets areas

- Perform cost centre control, including cost centre accounting, cost accounting, cost savings review and tracking

- Provide service and support in terms of analysis and numbers for all the departments and all reasonable needs, e.g. conversion cost, productivity, or TEOA

- Perform the controller role in external relations including Audit, Tax and relevant government organizations

- Develop local talents and build a strong team

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance (CPA or CMA preferred but not required)

- Prior experience in operations finance and accounting within a manufacturing plant (Global company experience a plus)

- Progressive management experience leading a finance organization

- Cost accounting experience required

- Strong computer skills: Very strong SAP manufacturing experience in a large mfg. site, Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Data warehouses

- Good oral and written English communication skills
