About our Client - Our client is one of the biggest MNCs in the pharma space. They are poised for further growth given their strong performance in the past few years. To strengthen their finance function, they are looking for Manager -Taxation based out of their corporate office in Mumbai.

Job Description - Reporting to the Taxation Controller, you will be responsible for:

- Handling direct and indirect taxation particularly Income Tax, Wealth Tax, Value Added Tax, Sales Tax and Service Tax .

- Representing the company before the first level of Revenue Authority for completing assessments.

- Providing expertise for tax planning as well as tax compliance with a view to optimize tax benefits.

- Drafting necessary representations to Tax Authorities including appeals and prepare brief for counsel's opinion, paper books for submission to Revenue Authorities etc.

The Successful Candidate - You are a Chartered Accountant with 5+ years experience in handling taxation matters in the industry preferably in Pharma/Manufacturing. You should have worked in an organization with a strong focus on tax planning and compliance and should have had worked in an equivalent position with an experience of representing before Tax Authorities.You should have sound knowledge of Financial Accounting, Commercial laws, Internal controls and Indian GAAP.
