MANAGER – TAXATION

Location: Gurgaon, India
REPORTS TO: AVP / VP– Taxation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Manager, the role will be expected to take on a higher level of ownership and responsibility in ensuring all taxation deliverables are met, on time and at the required high level of quality.
The taxation deliverables are likely to cover:
- Tax related balance sheet reconciliations
- Income tax calculations for Group entities worldwide
- Global withholding tax processes
- Indirect tax calculations
Tax registrations
- Group transfer pricing process.
Other responsibilities
- Leading and managing team, showing career path and doing effective appraisals.
- Managing stakeholder relationship and handling first level escalations.
- Proactively seeking stakeholder feedback to further improve service level standards.
- Continuously innovate with focus to improve process – enhance efficiencies and add value.
KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Leadership & Staff management Skills
- Ability to lead a team of tax accounting professionals, proactively seeking improvement opportunities and providing thought leadership with respect to client service delivery.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Technical Specialist Skills
- Experience in international tax accounting and compliance processes
- Experience with tax reporting and financial systems
- Experience managing financial analysis and control activities
- Core international tax and accounting skills
- Financial accounting skills (knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP preferred)
- Comfortable working in a fast changing environment where roles and responsibilities can change regularly.

- Able to manage and distribute workload across team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual tax accounting and compliance deadlines
- Ability to recognize and proactively manage issues and risks
- Able to lead team in embracing opportunities to improve service, processes and systems
- Ability to provide timely and accurate status reports to internal stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS & BACKGROUND/work experience
To be considered for these roles you must possess:
- A professional accountancy qualification (CA);
- Experience with international tax accounting and compliance / statutory reporting;
- Good technical tax and accounting knowledge with exposure to financial accounting
- 6 - 10 years of post qualification relevant experience.
- Big 4 tax background preferred.
- Taxation experiences within a shared services environment or financial services an advantage (but not essential).
