Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and taxation, with expertise in U.S tax regulations.
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of tax-related tasks, including the detailed review of various tax returns for individuals, C and S corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and not-for-profit entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed reviews of tax returns across various entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Utilize your expertise in U.S tax laws to provide guidance and support in complex tax scenarios, conducting independent tax research when necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in tax software such as CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, and CaseWare, with a willingness to learn new software as required.
- Effectively communicate with clients and team members, both verbally and in writing, providing clear explanations and guidance on tax matters.
- Display excellent leadership skills, including the ability to train and supervise staff, delegate tasks efficiently, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members, assisting them in resolving any technical issues they encounter.
- Build strong working relationships with peers, supervisors, and U. S colleagues, collaborating effectively to achieve organizational goals.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, positivity, and a team-oriented attitude, especially during busy season times when long hours may be required.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (US), or equivalent professional qualification in the accounting and tax field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in tax preparation and review. Expert knowledge of U. S tax laws and regulations.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
