About our Client - Our client is one of the largest beverage companies in the world. Recognized as a sector leader, they have a diverse portfolio of products. In India, they have been at high growth trajectory. With an employee friendly culture, they are currently looking for a Tax Head to support their brewery operations in South India

Job Description - Reporting into the CFO, your key responsibilities will include:

- Provide the tax planning & tax optimization strategies for different states, whereby reducing tax expenses.

- Define and translate tax policies & guidelines including transfer pricing policies

- In-depth focus on Indirect Tax - Sales tax, Service tax, State Excise / Central Excise, Import Taxes

- Ensure an optimal legal structure is set-up to minimize direct and indirect tax burden

- Maintain and manage key stakeholders internally as well as with the tax authority and help to settle the arguments and to acquire tax incentives.

- Examine adjustment of important tax issues in declaration of corporate income tax.

- Preparation and accountability of Tax Budget

The Successful Candidate - You are a Qualified Chartered Accountant (MUST) with a minimum of 10+ years of experience. You should currently be employed with an MNC in the Alco-Beverage sector with your core focus area being TAX. You are an expert in all areas of Indirect Tax (Excise, Customs, VAT, and Service Tax) and have spent at least 4 years handling excise matters within advisory and litigation. You have appeared before tax authorities either independently or in conjunction with Consultants. You should come with excellent communication and presentation skills
