Currently we are looking for a "Tax Analyst" for a leading paints manufacturing company.
Job Location : Mumbai
Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job -
- Prepare U.S. tax compliance and tax provision calculations
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve tax-related goals
- Review current processes and improve where possible
- Support global tax management by gathering data and preparing computations needed for cash tax forecasting, tax research, and tax planning projects
- Support tax compliance and tax audit processes in other jurisdictions such as Canada
- Assist with Global SOX compliance documentation
- Assist with the management of process related to Global third party service providers
Responsibilities:
- Gather information from system and Regional Account Centers to respond to requests from external preparer of U.S. Federal, state, and local tax compliance
- Support U.S. tax colleagues with internal preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions for USA group
- Review calculations and returns prepared by external preparer for accuracy
- Maintain Tax Team's SOX documentation
- Prepare responses to audit requests and other queries from tax authorities
- Support global Tax senior management with calculation and analysis for forecasting, planning project, tax research, new tax legislation, as needed
Level of Autonomy:
- Prepare data, information, reports for multiple stakeholders at various levels in the global Tax Team
Job Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant
- 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in corporate income tax
- Strong quantitative skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a complex business environment with multiple stakeholders
- Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Significant experience with SAP and SAP BW and a working knowledge of networking platforms, analysis, and reporting applications
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling
- Good communication skills and ability to work with international stakeholders
- Ability to interface with Finance and Information Management colleagues
