Tax and Audit Compliance Job Description : - We are looking for an Audit & Tax Assistant to join our team. - The ideal candidate will have experience with audits, taxation, and general accounting. - This role is suited for individuals with a strong background in these areas, gained either from working with a CA firm or through relevant industry experience. Roles and Responsibilities : - Conduct thorough company audits, including statutory, internal, and compliance audits. - Assist in the execution of income tax audits and other statutory audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. - Prepare and review audit documentation and reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. - Manage individual taxation matters, including preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns. - Ensure timely and accurate filing of advance tax, TDS returns, GST returns, and other relevant tax compliance requirements. - Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise clients accordingly. - Perform general accounting tasks, including ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. - Assist with the finalization of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards. - Support the preparation of financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders. - Provide support and assistance to clients regarding audit and tax-related queries. - Maintain effective communication with clients to understand their needs and deliver high quality service. - Assist in the preparation of audit and tax documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of audits and tax filings. Skills and Qualifications : - Chartered Accountant (CA) or Inter CA (Semi-Qualified IPCC cleared) preferred. - Postgraduate degree with a professional qualification (CA) is advantageous. - Graduation or PG as a minimum educational requirement. - 0-2 years of relevant experience in auditing, taxation, and general accounting. - Experience working with a CA firm or in a similar accounting or financial role is highly desirable. - Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). - Strong understanding of auditing procedures, tax compliance, and accounting principles. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex audit and tax issues. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
