Tata Steel - Researcher/Principal Researcher - Lubricant Application

Purpose of the Job :

- Experience in formulating cold/ hot rolling lubricant and thorough knowledge on the application.- Characterization and testing of lubricants

- Monitor lubricant health in rolling mills and maintain a data base to ensure compliance with standard.

- Understanding the lubricant application in rolling mills and assist team in defect identification and lubricant trials with co-ordination between R&D, Quality and Operations

- Design and fabricate experimental set up or technique to simulate plant conditions.

- Compile and interpret test results and write technical reports and prepare graphs and charts.- Maintain and upkeep safe work environment at R&D laboratory.- Order and inventory materials and spares to maintain supply.

Job responsibilities:

- Monitor lubricant health across cold rolling mills and maintain data base

- Co-ordinate and assist cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality and Operations) during defect identification and lubricant trials in plant3.Ensuring safety and ISO compliance in laboratory

- Compile, interpret test results and writing technical reports5.Characterization and testing of lubricants
