Job Title: Assistant Manager TCoE - Direct Taxes Location: Kolkata Experience: 1-3 Years Job Description: We are looking for an Assistant Manager TCoE - Direct Taxes, who has a deep understanding of Direct Tax Laws & Regulations and is capable of managing tax compliance and litigation management. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns forms, reconciliation of monthly TDS/ TCS liabilities, and filing of quarterly TDS Returns. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure the accurate and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax returns.2. Carry out tax research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Direct Tax Laws & Regulations.3. Check and respond to notices related to litigation/assessment proceedings in the e-filing portal.4. Ensure timely statutory compliances and reporting.5. Assist in tax computation and ensure tax audit accuracy.6. Maintain an internal database of direct tax accounts & records, as well as records related to litigations/assessment proceedings.7. Provide updated records to stakeholders as and when required.8. Collaborate with Officers and Non-Officers across the organisation for gathering their views and understanding opportunities for improvement.9. Ensure error-free data reporting and adherence to stipulated timelines. Skills & Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.2. 2-3 years of experience in direct tax management, compliance, and litigation.3. Strong knowledge of Direct Tax Laws & Regulations.4. Proficiency in Tax Planning and Compliance Management.5. Experience in Litigation Management.6. Strong skills in Data Analysis & Reporting.7. Expertise in working on MS Excel and ERP systems.8.
