Job Title: Senior Manager Content Partnerships
Company Overview:
Tata Play is one of India's leading content distribution platforms, providing Pay TV and OTT services.
Our content team is responsible for acquiring content played out on the platform across screens, including Broadcast channels, Tata Play Mobile, Value Added Services, and OTT initiatives like Tata Play Binge.
We lead partnerships and commercial engagements with various content providers, such as broadcast networks (Star, Zee, Sony) and OTT platforms (Hotstar, Zee 5).
About the Role:
- The Senior Manager Content Partnerships role is key and central to our content department.
- We are seeking a strategic leader excited about building and managing high-impact partnerships that navigate industry growth and innovation across TV and OTT.
- The ideal candidate is result-oriented, obsessive about building value for customers, and has an analytical bent of mind.
- This role includes relationship management with broadcasters and respective OTT providers.
- The scope of engagement spans content valuation, deal negotiation, agreement execution, cost and carriage revenue management, and ensuring consistent delivery of commitments while exploring strategic opportunities to derive additional value for Tata Play.
- The candidate will also be responsible for developing statistical models and providing financial constructs that drive business planning.
- Additionally, the candidate will work closely with senior leadership within Tata Play and will be responsible for high-impact data-driven insights.
- We seek someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who is enthusiastic about learning and adapting in a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Broadcaster Partnerships: Lead key broadcaster relationships (e., Star, Zee, Tv18) for Tata Play and respective OTT providers (e., Z5, Hotstar).
- Responsibilities include commercial negotiations, agreement execution, cost and revenue management, deal management, and marketing engagements.
- Content Analytics: Lead content analytics.
- Create and oversee the Content Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Create, maintain, and execute various analytical reports for the content team, including viewership reviews, deal modeling, revenue projections, etc., to fuel negotiations and long-term strategic decisions.
- Carriage Business: Manage carriage relationships and demonstrate rigor in increasing revenue from existing partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a robust content pipeline and revenue generation.
- Strategic Opportunities: Derive additional value for Tata Play through content marketing initiatives, channel launches, packaging changes, etc.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders such as Subscriber Marketing, Technology, Legal, Finance, Communications, Sales, etc. , along with the content provider.
- Internal Processes: Work with cross-functional teams to execute all internal processes for various functions within the content team (e. , legal, commercial, communications).
Qualifications:
- Full-time MBA from a reputed institute.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with occasional travel as required.
- Standard business hours with some flexibility
