Purpose of the Job:
Management of project(s), typically involving planning, development and implementation of systems to meet identified client needs, within agreed parameters of cost, time scales, and quality.
Job Description:
1. Define, document and execute projects, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project.
2. Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed terms of reference.
3. Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and track activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports as appropriate.
4. Monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
5. Provide effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Project Managers will have teams reporting to them and hence people management skills are key to success in this position.
6. Manage client interactions - Project Manager is the single point of contact with our clients (based in US, UK, Europe, UAE, ANZ, Japan) and are responsible for managing all interactions.

1. Operational Efficiency & Quality
a. Handle & execute volume
b. Cost projections, rate realization & Effective scheduling
c. Liaising with clients and other functions
d. Conduct defect prevention meetings and track corrective actions
e. Provide hygiene and accountability through a number-driven objective approach
f. Work with the client proactively on potential issues to avoid into escalations/complaints
g. In the event of a complaint or concern, enter this into the CMS, implement interventions to address the complaint or concern, and track it to closure
h. Core project management experience of atleast 4 years
i. Should have had client facing experience and strong communication skills
j. Preferably from an e-learning background but not necessary. IT experience is preferable
k. Should have handled teams (atleast above 10)
l. Do not consider profiles where the experience has primarily been in translation or localization projects (profiles from companies like LionBridge etc)
2. Business Development & People Manager
a. Work with the client to put together an account forecast mechanism
b. Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities
c. Create compelling proactive and reactive proposals, solutions, or business propositions that would convert into repeat business
d. Ensure team is engaged and motivated at all times
a. Delegate, monitor, and hand hold as required
B. Functional Background:
a. Full time MBA
b. Engineering Degree preferred
c. Experience in the custom eLearning or software development space is preferred
C. Behavioral & Managerial Skills:
a. Ability to manage large engagements with little or no direction - manage client expectations, escalations, planning, resourcing, scheduling, costs, variances, etc.
b. Excellent team manager and team player
c. Strong analytical skills, ability to make sense of numbers, and handled International clients.
d. Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
e. Self-starter, ability to Multitask, an Agile Listener and must have a Passion for Excellence.
