TATA Interactive Systems - Mathematical Modeler

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Translating business needs into Simulation Solution Requirements

- Conduct independent business consulting to identify problem areas

- Formulating and defining design scope and learning objectives through research and needs analysis

- Solution designing with respect to applicable business systems/processes and business requirements

- Researching business model and collecting the data required for a model

- Interact and probe Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand a specific domain, design and develop models, and gather all data necessary

- Analyze systems to determine its components and their interrelationships

- Mathematical modeling using MS Excel to create the core engine for simulation-based learning

- Building model prototypes and simulation products in MS Excel using Visual Basic for Application (VBA)

- Use tools such as causal loop diagramming and mind mapping to generate initial ideas for simulation models

- Custom Development of Mathematical model-based simulation solutions

Preferred Attributes:

- Background in an Industrial Engineering / Operations Management / Statistics & Analytics

- Hands-on experience in MS excel programming - Advanced Level

- Excellent communication skills and a Team Player
