Position - DGM – Learning & Development (HR)

I) Position Summary:
Key Objective / Purpose of the Job:
- Lead the Leadership and Behavioral Training Verticals in providing L&D consulting and designing and implementing effective leadership and behavioral training interventions that facilitate the development of knowledge, skills and capabilities in employees.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, business HR and regional HR Teams to ensure greater business alignment and integration of strategies and programs for successful implementation and results.
b) Major Activities include:
Incumbent is responsible for:
Enhance professional development by designing/providing/facilitating a range of learning and development opportunities that are
- Globally available
- Outcome-driven (measurement of effectiveness and impact using predefined metrics)
- Linked with organizational, functional and employee needs
- Role and competency-based
- Available at all levels
- Meeting standards of quality, budgets and timelines
- Both function-specific programs/customized interventions as well as enterprise-wide interventions
- Independently designing and facilitating leadership and behavioral programs for junior, middle and senior management
- Oversee/supervise life cycle management of all leadership and behavioral training programs
- Designing leadership and functional competency frameworks
- Global deployment of Corporate Induction and its enhancements
- Work closely with business teams in understanding expectations and with BHR and RHR teams for planning, designing and implementing L&D interventions
- Channelize internal and external resources for L&D to ensure closer alignment with business, internal capability building and speedier implementation
- Benchmark with industry best practices and industry developments in training and organizational development and apply and adapt the same internally

II) Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications:
- MBA in HR from a reputed institute
- Exposure to developing and conducting training in a consulting environment/organization
- Certified instructional designer and trainer
Requisite Skills:
Domain :
- 8-10 years relevant experience in L&D including organization development and L&D. Consulting experience will be preferred
- Proven track record in leading and managing a team
- Proven track record in interacting with leaders at all levels
Functional
- Able to design and facilitate programs at all levels
- Ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Behavioral
- Strong written and verbal Communication skills
- Strong focus on execution, quality and timelines
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to take ownership and demonstrate accountability for results
- Ability to work independently, lead and manage the team, and collaborate with teams outside L&D
- Ability to work closely with business leaders at all levels and build rapport and trust with key stakeholders
