Senior Manager - 3P Operations

Role Objectives :

- The position shall be responsible for the delivery of NPD projects ensuring new product launches and thereafter their continuous supply as per planned timelines on desired cost.

- He shall also ensure delivery of products from the third party(3P) copackers.

- The incumbent would be responsible for identifying new 2P/3P vendors and bringing them on-board, manages performance, negotiation of contractual conditions, and keeps vendors data up to date.

Key Responsibilities :

- Identify new 2P/3P vendors and bring them on-board following the process as per business requirements.

- Timely & smooth execution of New Projects while coordinating with the internal and external stakeholders.

- Assuring Complete Quality control of finished products : Compliance with Product

Specifications :

- Review safety, health, hygiene and other compliances (Food safety) & develop standardized Infrastructure and Processes for 3P. Close all Non -conformations within the stipulated time frame at all 3P sites. (HACCP and Food safety audits)

- Cost negotiations with 3P along with Commercial Function

- Ensuring delivery of product as per plan shared by Planning Function.

- Training of Work force and driving company initiatives at the 3P sites.

- Regularly scan the environment for new potential sites.

- Monitor and review operations at 3P sites, maintain high level of food safety management system WITHIN organizational guidelines to ensure smooth contract manufacturing operations as per the budgeted sales plan.

- Developing the new 3Ps : Identify the right 3P fit for the product and ensure they meet the expectations of the organization.

- Drive cost saving initiatives : Ensuring the cost saving agenda decided at the company level is driven at the 3P locations and reviewing it on monthly basis.

- Commercial Support : Coordinate with the 3P Commercial & Technical Executives for the commercial activities.

- Timely & smooth execution of New Projects while coordinating with the internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensuring adherence of day wise production schedule at 3P units in alignment with stock requirements at CFAs. Able to get all production figures in time & plan further manufacturing activities accordingly. (Keep track of Demand & supply closely with help of SCM)

- Ensure standardization of products, process and prices and use data driven approach to arrive at decision.

- Ensure that the 3P units complies with the terms and conditions of the Quality standards to achieve adherence to specified quality levels.

- SAP vs PHY Stock reconciliation, cost analysis, Inventory Management, PO release and submission of delivery schedule.

Foods Operations :

- Facilitate continuous improvement and coordinate with key stakeholders for timely documentation.

- Cost negotiation and agreement sign-off with the vendors.

- Ensuring SAP discipline across all handled units.

- Review and prepare a consolidated management information report for multiple 3P units to analyze performance of contract manufacturing sites.

- Support the Sales & Marketing in Planning & execution of consumer promo activity.

Desired Experience :

Level & Qualifications :

- Engineering Degree - Food Tech, Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, BSc (microbiology).

- MBA/PGDM will be an added advantage.

- 10+ years in an FMCG Industry; preferably Food & Beverages industry.

- Min. 6~8 yrs experience in managing 3P manufacturers. Min 2 yrs experience of managing multiple sites independently.
