Tata AIG - Senior Manager - Marine Underwriter

Part of the Underwriter is to assess the proposals of the corporate companies who are selling their products and services on credit. As an Underwriter need to asses buyer sound and how strong insured, how insured is buyer about a product, and maintain past data as well as record of losses, and analyze quality of buyer. Identify the country involved in selling product. Key accountability includes :-

1. Operational transactions :- Scrutiny of all Cancel rewrite requests (QMS/non-QMS) and approving such requests. Backdating approval and E-Marine and QMS Insta policies. Requests for any change in QMS policy and evaluation of all such policies and quotes and approving them after discussion with IT, CSM and underwriters and resolving errors if any. PUP pendency report and Tracking the report with channel head by informing them on PUP portals pending beyond 15 days and locking such portals if any. Overall pendency and taking it up with BOPs and COPs before centralization for clearance. Assisting declaration hub with the declaration related queries, tracking their daily activities and follow up for clearance of pendency. MOP Rater Initial Master, collating all the points to be covered in the next release. Referrals: Ahmadabad NB and NR cases. Scrutiny of all process notes and BRDs by liaising with Process delivery and Quality team.

2. Systems :- Testing of GC related enhancements and taking up with IT in resolving GC related issues. Continuous Testing of several new functionalities in QMS over time. Liaising with Product team on discussion of requirement and making of BRDs.

3. BRE :- BRE Assembling of all the requirements in BRD stage. Preparation of masters (for QMS front end and BRE backend as well as front end) BRE file with Approved/Referred/Declined covers, voyage wise mode of conveyance. Probitas Code: Update BRE File with approved commodities and terms for Probitas by checking each commodity from E-Marine PUP. Exhaustive and progressive testing of QMS front end and BRE front end. Testing for Web services following release of SMP product in November 2019.

4. Declaration management system :- Declaration management system To lease with IT team in executing the declaration management system. Providing necessary requirements like masters formats to be used in declaration management system.
