Bench Management :
Actively look for suitable opportunities for them While on the lookout for opportunities, ensure bench people are productively engaged in one of more of the below:
1. in trainings/learnings as per their career path
2. Contributing to Initiatives or Org Asset creation
3. Buffers in projects where additional bandwidth is required
4. Tagging along (as buffer) live projects with an objective of learning
Bench people performance management in terms of;
- Goal Setting
- Ensuring appraisal process is well adhered to and resolve any conflicts
- Planning and making way for Career development
- Promotion decisions
- Review and decide on Leave request of people on Bench
Utilization Management : Ensure to keep the Utilization at a manageable level. Publish utilization on a frequent (weekly) basis
- Keep track of people on bench or coming on bench (in the next 2-3 months) and proactively seek opportunities to utilize them
- Publish bench list often (weekly once) to ensure visibility and opportunity hunting
Fulfillment Management : Track all opportunities of the unit and their priorities
- Strive to fulfill opportunities from internal sources (MS + across the company). If internal sources are not sufficient, then seek out Recruitment help to find external candidates
- Work with Recruitment to provide clear visibility of needs
- Support Recruitment in terms of ensuring interview panel availability
- Work with Recruitment to ensure quality and timely fulfillment of needs
- Help in on-boarding people to the unit
Visa Management:
- Track people Visa and work permit status
- Help process Visa/Work Permits based on needs
Competency Mgmt.
- Track the skills and resume of every employee
- Plan and build competency (Knowledge/skill) and capacity (# of skilled people) for relevant unit prioritized tech areas, across all employees
Financial Management:
- Track the revenue forecast for the full year and ensure accurate forecasting
- Review and provide effort/billing confirmation during monthly billing cycles
Unit Management:
- Help drive unit level initiatives and track performance of all initiatives
- Drive one or two initiatives and bring out positive lasting outcomes
Mandatory Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should be carrying the below skills;

Past experience in managing software projects and also in Recruitment activities are a huge plus.
Qualification: Engineering Degree. A degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is a plus but not a must.
