Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following):

- Developing relationships between securities using Quant techniques and models

- Research and apply concepts from academic journals and financial literature and translate into fully automated trading strategies using a range of historical data, price, and volume inputs

- Researching portfolio construction and risk allocation techniques - Back-testing ideas using historical data

- Evaluating strategy performance, making improvements, and scaling up successful strategies

- Fundamental research of companies under coverage, using a disaggregated judgement approach. Ranking individual stocks on various qualitative and quantitative parameters to arrive at a comparative score for each stock under coverage.

- Coverage includes stocks in major developed as well as developing markets.

- Tracking news flows, maintaining business relationship models, drawing inferences from peer group events etc.

- Periodic discussion with portfolio managers to keep them updated with latest industry trends and stock updates.

- Keeping track of macroeconomic and industry related events and recommending trade ideas in response to that (M&A targets, Product cycle, FX related etc.)

Requirements:

- Keen interest in financial markets

- Eye for detail

- A degree from a top university in Finance/highly analytical field

- A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and problem solving

- Prior experience in Quantitative research or strategy development in the algorithmic set up (desirable)

- Quantitative aptitude and research oriented mindset

- Strong work ethic, self-motivated and hard working

- Hands on experience on developing alpha/strategy
