System Administrator (High Frequency Trading)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator with experience in managing the servers & network devices for the High Frequency Trading industry to join our team. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our trading system infrastructure.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain system infrastructure for High Frequency Trading.

- Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure availability, reliability, and speed.

- Troubleshoot system issues, and work closely with traders and other IT staff to resolve technical problems.

- Perform regular patching of the servers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

- Develop and maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

- Configure and maintain server hardware and operating systems, including Linux and Windows.

- Manage system upgrades, including planning, testing, and implementation.

- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system outage or other disruption.

- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify and address potential bottlenecks.

- Maintain accurate documentation of system infrastructure, policies, and procedures.

- Maintain & configure the router/switch administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.

- Establishes VPN, LAN, WAN and DMZ specifications by conferring with the traders; analysing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.

- Administers servers, virtual servers, switches, firewalls with security updates and patches

Requirements :

- Protects organizational value by keeping information confidential, preferred to be from the broking industry background.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

- 3-5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on High Frequency Trading.

- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

- Experience with system monitoring and management tools.

- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices for system security.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Availability to work outside regular business hours as needed.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
