Mandatory expectation for all roles as per Syngene safety guidelines

- Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals

- Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time.

Core Purpose of the Role:

The role entails leading and managing various aspects of external communications. With a focus on managing the company's reputation, contribute to attracting and retaining customers, positioning the company as an employer of choice, and building stakeholder relationships that are consistent with being one of the largest and most advanced scientific research, drug development and manufacturing companies. The role with assist the External & financial communications - Head and work closely with other members of the Corporate Communications team.

Role Accountabilities:

Collaboration with Marketing:

- Website: Managing content and messages in the corporate sections. Project manage the website user group

- Social media: Content generation and annual calendar

- Industry events: Creating visibility for the company in key industry fora; talk points for spokespersons.

- Content generation for advertorials: On a range of subjects focused on scientific excellence to industry trends.

Corporate reputation management and external communication: Devising the corporate reputation strategy, its implementation and measuring impact. This includes:

- Leading engagements with PR agencies in India and in UK for global markets.

- Staying interconnected with business developments to create brand visibility through the relevant media avenues.

- Simplifying sciences for the messages to resonate with all stakeholders.

- Crisis preparedness and management.

- Partnering with Biocon Foundation to create awareness about the CSR initiatives.

- Contributing to the internal newsletter and intranet

Financial and statutory communications: Being a listed entity, the company is governed by a set of norms to disclose quarterly earnings.

- This role will require partnering with the finance team to craft and curate accurate and transparent communication for the financial analysts, investors, shareholders, and media

- Manage on-ground logistics and media engagement

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's is a must good to have in visual communication, Journalism or Mass communication.

- 8 to 10 years of experience in communications and PR

Professional Skills and Capabilities:

- Good communication skills in English - written and spoken

- Draft error free documents, ability to simplify complex concepts

- Ability to think of their feet and proactively come up with new ideas

- A 'can do' and collaborative attitude

- Good documentation and planning skills

- Details oriented

- Ability to design creatives/edit videos (good to have, not a must have)
