This includes key performance indicators for cardholders and accounts, as well as metrics to support strategy development and execution. The AVP not only leads these projects and team members, but also works - hands on- alongside their team. This is an important role in the success of the department and will partner cross functionally to support the department and business. Essential Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team which provides business intelligence and reporting support to the department. - Partner with the larger Collections Strategy team on the creation and enhancement of key reports, acting as a subject matter expert and champion of data driven decisions. - Collaborate with the larger team and strategy owners on post implementation strategy validations. - Conduct ad- hoc reports and requests. - Develop process controls and produce documentation as needed. - Manage projects under tight deadlines with limited guidance and direction from VP, Insight Delivery. - Strong background in successful communication with Senior Leadership teams in a clear, concise manner - Responsible for delivering Strategic Business Process Reviews on strategic vision and performance Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Business or in a Quantitative Related Field and 8+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, and data extraction to support strategic decisions. - 8+ years- experience of advanced SQL, SAS, Python, R, Toad, or AQT. (Must be able to code) - 8+ years in Collections, Risk or Marketing Analytics or a Business Intelligence function within Information Technology in the Financial Services industry. - 3+ years of experience utilizing reporting tools and software for Business Intelligence: Business Objects, Essbase, Micro strategy, SAS BI. - 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Office - Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational and written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to make decisions based on quantitative analysis and creative thinking. - Strong self-starter balanced with desire to achieve team goals. - Ability to handle sensitive issues with uncompromising integrity and confidentiality. - Lead Site Level Initiatives as a part of Leadership team. Desired Characteristics: - 5+ years demonstrated success developing and delivering advanced analytics. - Datalake experience and strategies - 5+ years- experience using SAS or equivalent data tool such as Business Objects. - Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking toward tactical execution - Strong PC proficiency (Microsoft Suite including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) or comparable software application. - Master's degree (Business or Science Related Field) - Green Belt or Black Belt Certified
