General Manager - Social Media
Mandate 2: Employees will have the freedom to work remotely all through the year. These employees, who form a large majority, will come together in their base location for a week, once every quarter.
Functional Role : Delivering brand affinity for Swiggy and its sub brands through strong and distinctive social presence.
Summary:
Over the past 10 years, through food delivery and grocery delivery and other services such as Dineout and Genie, Swiggy has become a household name delivering unparalleled convenience to urban consumers. Brand love for the product also extends to the digital and social ecosystem, where Swiggy is much loved and admired for its social media presence and content. While our daily content on social media across our handles - Main handle, Instamart, Dineout - sees high engagement, we are also innovators when it comes to social campaigns having won 6 Cannes Lions across campaigns such as Voice of Hunger, Better Half Cookbook and Why is this a Swiggy Ad? We are looking for a sharp, enthusiastic General Manager who will come and lead social media for all the sub-brands to lead strategy and content.

Job Description:
- Social Channel strategy for all handles - Create a social strategy for all the Swiggy and sub-brand handles across all channels working with the respective Social Media Managers.
- Create and oversee the execution of the social calendar for each sub brand across channels.
- Experiment with new content formats, channels to drive up reach, engagement and thereby brand affinity for the masterbrand and sub brands.
- Manage creative agencies and partners - Work with internal and external creative partners and agencies by briefing, evaluating and guiding them to create clutter breaking content for Swiggy
- Internal stakeholder management - Work with internal stakeholders like partnerships team, business teams to identify areas and win-win solutions which can be amplified on social media.
- Measurement and analysis - Measure and analyse performance of content, channels through listening tools and take corrective actions an
- Agency/Vendor Management : Evaluation, onboarding, managing legal, finance and accounts processes.
Requirements:
- At least 9 years of overall work experience across social agencies or at brands
- Has Hands-on experience scaling up social media presence for brands
- Strong language skills : written and oral
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong history of having brought in innovations and out-of-the-box thinking in previous roles.
- Has team management experience
- Work experience in E-commerce / with ecommerce clients is highly preferred
