Under it, we are starting an online marketplace B to C and B and B for goods. To lead this vertical, we are looking for dynamic leaders, who should have experience of developing a robust platform for multi-vendor marketplace, vendor management, shipping, payments gateways, services, CMS, customer support etc. We are not looking for an employee; instead we would like to add you as a founding member and will give equity share in the enterprise as well. We are looking for someone who has worked with leading marketplace e-commerce companies such as Myntra, Flipkart, Amazon, Limeroad, Snapdeal etc. and has hands-on experience in developing a robust platform by developing in-house software and knowledge of various COTS software available in the market. We have resources to develop such a platform. JOB DESCRIPTION : As a Chief Technology Officer, your role will comprise of the following : Exemplary Leadership : - You will be responsible for building and leading a strong &amp; agile engineering team, which is ahead of the curve &amp; engaged in creating one of the most successful next generation e-commerce products in India - You will be tasked to carefully formulate &amp; implement Build vs Buy Decision strategy to ensure complete focus, timely product development and achieve overall strategic dominance - You will be planning technical strategy, product roadmaps, resources requirement and technology cost/budget - You will own technical &amp; architectural decision making, and be responsible with defining strong engineering processes to establish rhythm, plan product releases and ensure timely delivery. - You will ensure excellent uptime for architecture, database, platform, and front-end applications for faster response time and 24/7 availability - You will deliver an excellent user experience, ensuring a frictionless shopping experience to improve customer loyalty &amp; ensure higher conversion rate and average basket size - You will provide leadership and direction to direct reports and small agile teams across a variety of complex projects spanning web development, backend services development and multiple languages - You will be responsible for ongoing training, career development and performance management of the team - Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will partner with functional and product management teams to deliver business needs and provide input to the strategic direction of product development, directly influencing the business direction of new and existing products - Engagement with Leadership Team: You will closely &amp; constantly engage with the CEO and leadership team to understand the vision &amp; ensure the strategic evolution of back-end architecture, code-base, and product design to realize the same. You will be closely engaged in developing technology business plans and budgets that support the short-term budget &amp; long-term growth and business objectives of the company.
