Location - Delhi/Gurugram.
Job Description
1) You will be involved in the entire spectrum of investment analysis from sourcing ideas to independently valuing every situation, across hundreds of companies in varied sectors.
2) You will be responsible for each investment situation and work independently with Amitabh with no layer in-between.
3) The role entails researching various investment ideas including listed companies, private company takeover transactions, special situations, distressed investments and real-estate transactions.
4) If there is an interest, you can also get involved in operations of investment situations, wherever available.
5) The candidate will get to build relationships with company managements, channel partners and trade bodies; and attend brokerage conferences.
Key Attributes Needed
1) Deep passion for and an intuitive understanding of valuations. Prior interest in the classics of Benjamin Graham, Philip Fisher etc. would be a plus.
2) High common sense and business horse-sense.
3) Contrarian mindset.
4) Basic comfort with financial modelling.
5) Ability to source and organize primary financial data and scuttlebutt.
6) Likes to work in very small teams.
Educational Qualification and Experience
1) MBA/CFA with excellent marks in mathematics and accountancy in 10th/12th.
2) Having worked on investments in fixed income investments (including distressed situations).
3) Relevant work experience of working on the investment side in a fund, family office.
CTC: up to Rs. 30 lacs per annum.
