Job Description:
- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
- Originate and execute programs for the provision of equity & debt capital required by the company including negotiation and maintenance of covenants
- Run the deal process for fundraising of the company
- Manage relations with investors and analysts
- Oversee company cash balances and forecasts
- Oversee the issuance of financial information and report financial results to the board of directors
- Oversee annual audit and all external financial reporting, including but not limited to annual audits and proper filing of tax returns
- Advice in operation of the company's transaction processing systems
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and oversee preparation and filings of tax and VAT returns, prepared by team and external tax consultants
Job Requirements:
- Experience in originating and closing equity and M&A deals, with a long list of potential financing sources that are willing to take their call
- Willing to take a leading role in bringing operational excellence into the company, installing just the right amount of process, reporting and structure ensuring smooth operations of the company.
- Track record of a leading role in a software or technology company
- Hands on experience of leading and managing a finance and accounts team, including having a high level of integrity with a commitment to transparent reporting and analysis
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environment
- High level of dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result - orientedness
- Optimistic, love challenges and resilient
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential
