COMPANY PROFILE :
Founded in 2015 by a quartet of youngsters in Bangalore, the company allows one to find people who are willing to run any type of errand - be it rounding out shopping lists or picking up and dropping off chargers forgotten at home.
After securing a modest funding from some companies, this company became Google's first direct investment in India this year. With a massive $12-million investment in the Bangalore-based start-up, the tech giant has picked up a significant stake in the company.
Launched only in Bangalore in the initial years & certain pockets of Pune, the company has seen 3X growth compared to last year. Since last quarter of 2017, the coverage in Bangalore alone went up to about 80% of the city from 40%, supported by a team comprising of 1500 partners.
Since Jan 18, it has started its services in Pune & Delhi and launching in major metro cites such as Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, etc; as we speak.
ROLE OBJECTIVE :
- Manage growth and optimization of delivery partners by working with your team, various central teams, and managing different internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be supported by central Operations, Marketing and other functional teams to help you achieve results set for your city, efficiently and quickly.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and own a roadmap of initiatives to increase delivery partners engagement and loyalty.
- Grow the funnel of delivery partners in your city through a keen understanding of local markets
- Analysis of delivery partners metrics to properly allocate supply and guide incentives
- Optimise supply acquisition, both on spend and operations and constantly look for new opportunities and move fast to execute on them
- Take ownership of city specific and local regulatory requirements
- Identify best practices on supply and ensure city wide adoption
Skills & Qualifications :
- 2+ years of work experience, preferably in delivery business
- Data-driven decision making and strong analytical thinking
- A strong sense of empathy - delivery partners should be at the the centre of your thinking at all times
- Ability to work and collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders through strong project-management and communication
- Leadership to motivate your team to take up and achieve tall business targets
- Good interpersonal skills to build and grow valuable business networks and partnerships
- SQL knowledge a plus, but not required
