Supply Chain Planner - FMCG - NITIE/SPJIMR/MDI/IIFT/IIMs

Education:

- Full-time 2-year postgraduate degree in Operations or Supply Chain Management from premier institutes such as NITIE (IIM Mumbai), SPJIMR, SJM SOM, VG SOM, DMS IIT Delhi, MDI, IIFT, IIMs, etc.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly analytical and results-driven Supply Chain Planner with strong expertise in deployment and distribution planning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in utilizing Advanced Planning Systems to ensure efficient and optimized product distribution across a nationwide network. This role requires close coordination with manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to align supply with demand while minimizing stockouts and inventory holding costs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain norm-based deployment plans across a multi-plant, pan-India supply chain network.

- Utilize truck load optimization techniques to ensure cost-effective and timely dispatches.

- Calculate net requirements at various nodes by analyzing key variables such as on-hand stock, sales orders, forecasted demand, and in-transit inventory.

- Monitor and analyze sales trends, planning parameters, and market dynamics on a daily basis to generate and validate deployment strategies.

- Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics teams to create replenishment plans that maintain service levels while controlling excess inventory.

- Align production schedules with deployment needs by working closely with production planning and supply chain teams.

- Play a critical role in the design, communication, and governance of segmentation-based deployment strategies involving key stakeholders from manufacturing and sales functions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems

- Experience in demand planning, deployment, inventory management, and logistics coordination

- High analytical acumen with a data-driven mindset

- Proficiency in supply chain tools and platforms

- Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management

- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing distribution networks is essential
