Supply Chain Network Optimization Consultant

Supply Chain Network Optimization consultant leads network modeling, analysis, and requirements planning for our client’s Supply Chain Network. Candidate will have experience in supply chain network modeling and/or simulation using one of the following software applications: JDA Supply Chain Strategist, Oracle SNO, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, Infor/CAPS Supply Chain Designer or similar

Job Requirements:

- 6-10 years of experience in supply chain network modeling and analysis

- Must have in-depth knowledge of and proven experience with one of the network modeling applications above, preferably JDA Supply Chain Strategist

- Experience leading the development of multiple supply chain network modeling efforts (consulting experience preferred)

- Experience with Business Process Reengineering (BPR); Gap Analysis; Process Design/Redesign

- An understanding and knowledge of critical Distribution and Supply Chain concepts that includes network optimization and balancing; multi-echelon and hub & spoke distribution; lean/six-sigma analysis and implementation; workload distribution/redistribution; cross-docking; reverse logistics; distribution center operations; multi-vendor consolidation; and performance metrics

- Ability to gather and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources for client and project team utilizing various tools and techniques

- Ability to work with internal and external contacts to identify and resolve discrepancies with data

- Ability to use data gathered to analyze and produce reporting (both established reporting and new and/or ad-hoc type reporting) for client and project team

- Initiative and ability to independently identify and assess technical challenges and develop recommended solutions for presentation to project leadership

- Ability to analyze and test statistical results

- The successful candidate will have advanced skills collecting and managing large data sets. Experience with large databases, SQL, and programming to efficiently clean and maintain data to support model updates

- Prior consulting experience to conduct and provide various supply chain; logistics; transportation; and operational analytical support including, but not limited to, cost/benefit analysis, operational impact studies, distribution network analysis, strategic sourcing desired

- Candidate will possess knowledge and experience in retail, consumer products, or Logistics Service Provider industries

Educational Requirements:

- BE/ MS, MBA desired, emphasis in Logistics, Distribution Operations and/or Transportation

- Proficient with Excel/Access/SQL

- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills

- Network analysis tools (JDA Supply Chain Strategist, Oracle SNO, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, Infor/CAPS Supply Chain Designer or similar)
