Supervisory Analyst Job Description

- Ensure that research adheres to both SEC and FINRA rules and regulations, and firm policies and procedures.

- Review the content of research reports to assess the accuracy, consistency and sources of data and calculations included in the reports.

- Review the content of research reports to ensure a reasonable basis exists for the analysts conclusions (e.g. target prices, recommendations, ratings, estimates and valuation parameters).

- Engage with research analysts to improve the quality of published research.

- Manage workflow, record production details and edit reports and comments using company applications.

- Educate research team members on overall editorial/compliance procedures, writing, templates and publishing systems

Basic Qualifications : 

- FINRA Series 16 qualification.

- Knowledge of accounting terms and calculations and investment analysis.

- Prior experience and proficiency working in a Windows-based PC environment, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Ability to edit and rework reports written by non-native English speakers.

Preferred Qualifications: 

- Previous experience as a Research Analyst or Supervisory Analyst.

- Flexibility - ability to adapt and thrive in an environment of change.

- Ability to see the big picture - to look at the structure, arguments and balance of a report and suggest practical ideas for enhancing its commercial effectiveness.

- Proven time management and organisational skills; ability to prioritise and juggle several projects at the same time and to work under tight deadline pressure.

- Ability to multi-task and work with teams, as well as independently.

- Excellent interpersonal skills; must manage relationships with large group of internal clients, including Heads of Research, analysts, editorial team, production, compliance officers and representatives from other departments.
