Location: Mumbai
Roles & Responsibilities of a Finance Manager/Leader:
1. Responsible for all the accounting and finance functions, including the usage of funds in discussion with the management and all other statutory compliance, filling out the necessary statutory returns, broadly managing cash & fund flow, and preparing and finalizing the balance sheet.
2. Annual business plan, mid - long term strategic plan and capital allocation for projects
3. Engage with the Business and Operations teams to align financial management with short and long-term financial planning and projections
4. Reconciliation of payables and receivables with Supermoney Partners, which involves customer-wise matching and coordination with the partner accounts teams.
5. Timely completion of accounts monitoring or quarterly performance, accounting system for improvements.
6. Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance with Income Tax, GST, Professional Tax, etc. for remittance, return filing, and all other requirements, especially with RBI.
7. Coordinate with other teams when rolling out new programs to ensure seamless delivery
8. Coordinate with Tech for creation of relevant reports, testing of new products in LMS and with partner lenders
9. Responsible for submitting a weekly MIS report to the management to indicate clearly the cash inflow and outflow along with the utilisation of funds, demonstrating each head separately.
10. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
11. Report risk issues to the board of directors
12. Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
13. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
14. Prepare timely & accurate inputs for payrolling in collaboration with HR.
15. Based on the final salary sheets, initiate the release of salaries with the bank due to authorization from the CEO/ Founding team
16. Maintain banking relationships
17. Preparing Bank Reconciliation statements periodically.
Requirements:
- Qualified CA with at least 3 years of work experience with a Bank or NBFC (engaged in Lending) is strongly preferred.
- Candidates in a Finance role at NBFC / Banks having experience in handling regulatory compliance, RBI audits, etc are a strong plus
- In-depth experience in financial reporting, Income Tax, GST, finalization of accounts, etc.
- Well-versed with Ind-AS financial preparation and finalization.
- Team Management experience is preferred.
- Strong accounting background, leadership quality, adherence to timelines, and highly proactive.
- Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
