Position Summary:
In this role, the candidate is expected to support with research, policy advocacy, and business intelligence activities on clean energy initiatives of the company [hydrogen]. The role demands high level of details and proactiveness, understanding business strategy required to operate, and ability to connect the dots and generate insights for the team.
Position Responsibility
- Conduct research using both systematic and intuitive secondary and primary research techniques using public and paid databases.
- Gather market intelligence and monitor industry trends - develop and maintain database on key information trends such as production capacities and expansion plans, partnerships, sustainability targets etc. for both national and global industries on hydrogen and its related applications.
- Develop sector specific roadmaps, whitepapers, relevant media outputs on hydrogen to further business interests.
- Develop techno-commercial models for major hydrogen applications in India and abroad.
- Evaluate national and global policies on hydrogen to identify best practices and business intelligence.
- Collaborate on creation of key research deliverables, including but not limited to: whitepapers, case studies, data analyses, tools, infographics, articles etc.
- Support and collaborate towards policy advocacy and other relevant policy interventions to government and relevant stakeholders.
Academic qualification:
- Master's degree or PhD in engineering, science, economics or related field with specialisation in electrical engineering, energy engineering, energy economics or other graduate courses along these lines. A prior undergraduate degree in engineering or energy engineering would be desirable.
- A postgrad/specialisation degree in policy and economics is an added bonus
Experience:
- Knowledge and experience in the clean energy industry is a pre-requisite.
- Relevant work experience in industry, academia or research establishments will be an added bonus

- Strong analytic skills including quantitative research methods and tools that are fit for purpose.
- Proficiency in word-processing and presentation tools.
- Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting.
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.

- Excellent public speaking skills and ability to build relations and negotiations.
- Strong ethics and extremely professional conduct.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and at least one of the regional languages (depending on location)
- An exceptional awareness to gender diversity and multicultural environment.
Language Proficiency:
- Professional fluency in English is mandatory
