North America (NAM) Payroll
In scope: Payroll processing and query resolution from India for entities SUN US, TARO US and TARO Canada
Out of Scope: Benefit administration, Benefit partners administration and negotiation. Salary credit, Recruitment, onboarding, Time management and deposition of location compliances
Resources In India: Should be working in NAM shift 2 pm IST to 11 pm ISTKey Responsibilities in Mumbai:- Hands on experience in implementing, configuring and processing US & Canada Payroll & Benefits
- Ensuring timely & accurate payroll processing for all US and TARO entities (Monthly, Semi-monthly and Bi weekly payrolls
- State registration set-ups & Compliance with related to state filling. Hands on experience in filing of local state taxes individually
- W2 verification, Ensuring all effective controls are put in place & followed for seamless payroll processing
- Good understanding of the year-end activities / payroll administrative responsibilities for US and Canada payroll
- Must have good knowledge on statutory tax forms generation i.e. W9, W2, W4, 941 & W7
- Should have handled Benefits configuration and contract management with external vendor for dental, vision, disability and medical insurances.
- Well versed with MS office, with hands on experience on Success Factors, Workday & SAP system will be an add on advantage
- Excellent at maintaining accuracy and detailing
- Assist in payroll accounting, transactions, reporting, stop payments and other operations.
- Review payroll reports and timesheets for correctness before payroll transactions.
- Good exposure & hands on experience of user acceptance testing.
- Ensure that employee payroll is processed accurately and timely at all times. Highlight challenges and come up with mitigation plans
- Maintain employee payroll records and timesheet data for future references, assist in payroll and timesheet audit activities. Knowledge in managing IFC, SOX and leading Audit will help
- Assist in tax calculations and filing activities as per IRS regulations
- Good exposure to US compliance requirements and handling audit requirements as IFAS (International Financial Accounting Standards)
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills is MUST to connect with HR at NAM, Employee interaction, 3rd party engagement at various levels in the organization
- Should take initiative to run small project to simplify payroll and reduce manual interventions. Run UAT and train location HR. Also ensure successful implementation of Success Factors payroll Upgrade release twice in an year
- Ensure that employee payroll processing is in compliance with federal and local state laws.
- Oversee salary changes, compensations, deductions, bonus, vacations pay-outs, and benefits for employees.
- Provide job trainings and mentor team members as an when needed.
- Analyse payroll issues and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain payroll system up-to-date and accurate.
- Experience on Project Management technics and controls, able to work under pressure and at stretched deadlines
- A strong communicator, confident in delivering information to internal and external customers & vendors.

- Would be accountable for various reports for management, HR and finance review on daily and monthly basis.
