Job Description
As the E-commerce Head, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our company's e-commerce operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of online retail, digital marketing, and customer experience. The E-commerce Head will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that drive online sales, enhance the customer journey, and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement the overall e-commerce strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
- Identify new opportunities for growth and improvement in the online retail space.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
E-commerce Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring seamless order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment.
- Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with IT teams for continuous improvement.
- Implement best practices for website usability, functionality, and user experience.
Digital Marketing and Customer Acquisition:
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, customer acquisition, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize online presence through SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure and analyse the effectiveness of marketing efforts, making data-driven decisions.
Customer Experience:
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall online shopping experience and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback, reviews, and inquiries in a timely and positive manner.
- Work with customer service teams to address and resolve any e-commerce-related issues.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Set and achieve sales targets, driving revenue growth through effective online merchandising and promotional strategies.
- Collaborate with product management to optimize product listings, pricing, and promotions.
- Explore and implement cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to maximize average order value.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for e-commerce operations and regularly report on these metrics.
- Utilize analytics tools to gain insights into customer behavior, sales performance, and website metrics.
- Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in e-commerce management and strategy development.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and analytics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and technologies.
- Experience in budget management and financial acumen.
