Our client is a globally large commodity trading MNC:
Main Activities (includes but not limited to):
1. Handle all physical sales related to the sugar business in India:
a. All sales of sugar produced from our own mills
b. Sales for all by-products
2. Identify trading opportunities in the domestic market
a. Buy sugar locally for trade / institutional sales
b. Exploit any opportunity for tolling at our factory
3. Liaise with white sugar trading team to initiate / execute export sales of white sugar
4. Liaise with raw sugar trading team to initiate / execute imports of raw sugar when opportunity arises
5. Undertake futures trading on the NCDEX platform for sugar
Profile
Hands on commercial person with good exposure to high quality institutional sales. Should have had experience in trading commodities on an exchange. Should have a decent understanding on the global commodity markets / futures exchanges. Should be out-going and able to build relations with the various stake holders in the sugar business (brokers, traders, mills, institutional buyers, etc). Should be able to analyse various parameters and decide on strategy for the best commercial outcome. Should have worked in a structured organisation and handled various internal stake holders (country / product structure, risk, etc).
Team
Would be working with a team of 5 - 6 to handle frontline sales, documentation, etc
