GBS Tax - Subject Matter Expert - direct Tax Compliance

- Chennai location.

- Ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of end-to-end processes supporting the preparation of direct tax returns by outsourced service providers and in-house teams.

- Manage information flows with stakeholders.

- Conduct quality control of work products from company internal stakeholders as well as from outsourced service providers.

Reporting :

- Support Tax and Finance teams with reporting and accounting of direct taxes.

- Controversy & Risk.

- Assist Global & Regional tax teams with responses to Tax Authority audits and reviews.

- Manage the identification, assessment, and reporting of tax risks associated with compliance operations for direct tax.

Strategy :

- Support the identification, development, and implementation of strategies to continuously improve direct tax operational processes.

Governance :

- Ensure that GBS Tax direct tax operations comply with Group Tax Policy and tax control frameworks.

What You Bring :

Mandatory : Subject matter expertise in direct taxes.

Mandatory : Bachelor's degree qualification in finance or commerce.

Mandatory :

- Minimum of four (4+) years of post-qualification experience in direct tax preparation & filing management for EU-based countries, gained overseas via advisory firms, BPOs, or corporate service excellence centers.

Mandatory :

- Excellent English oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with global stakeholders and service providers.

- Strong financial analysis skills and familiarity with ERP systems.

- Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines, both personally and for a team.
