Structured Finance Origination & Execution

Origination Skill set requirement :

1] Good, proven, origination skills and track record of origination activity : interaction with CFOs, Promoters to originate capital market transactions

2] Should have excellent credit analysis skills and ability to work on spreadsheets, etc

3] Should be able to originate vanilla as well as complex trades

4] Should have excellent and proven structuring skills

5] Should be able to work with colleagues in Corporate banking to jointly originate transactions

6] Should be comfortable with loans, bonds, securitized products, and other hybrid instruments

7] Should be comfortable handling documentation on his / her own, as well as be thoroughly familiar with Legal, compliance, and regulatory aspects

Sales (Investor Coverage) requirements :

1] Should have excellent connects with different Investor segments : Mutual Funds, Banks, Insurnace, FIIs, NBFCs, Wealth Managers, etc. Should be comfortable covering different seniority levels within any particular organization

2] Proven track record of sell down of vanilla and complex products into the investor segment. Should have demonstrated ability of sell down of difficult credits or in difficult market conditions

3] Should have excellent credit analysis skills and ability to work on spreadsheets, etc

4] Should be able to reverse - originate, ie reverse enquiry from Investors

5] Should be comfortable selling bonds, loans, and other hybrid instruments

6] Should be comfortable handling documentation on his / her own, as well as be thoroughly familiar with Legal, compliance, and regulatory aspects

7] Should have good market intelligence and knowledge of deal flows

A definite plus would be following skills :

1] Knowledge of Banking products like trade finance, cash credit, etc

2] RBI / SEBI connections

3] Investor coverage - so that the candidate can run with a transaction end to end

4] Experience of working on trades with Offshore leg

5] Working knowledge of FX & Derivatives
