Purpose of the Role:

- This role is part of the Credit Underwriting team, focused on assessing the creditworthiness of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises).


- The key responsibility is to ensure accurate risk evaluation and strong portfolio management to minimize potential NPAs (Non-Performing Assets) while optimizing credit decisions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Credit Evaluation: Evaluate the creditworthiness of SME clients by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, GST reports, and banking checks.

- Risk Assessment: Establish credit limits and terms for customers based on risk assessment, credit policies, and financial data (P&L, Balance Sheets, etc.).

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to enhance credit decision-making and customer management.

- Monitoring & Risk Mitigation: Regularly monitor credit exposure, delinquency rates, and take proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.

- Decision Making: Apply knowledge of Consumer & Commercial Bureau and Supply Chain Finance to improve credit assessment processes.

Profile Requirements:

- Education: Post Graduate (MBA in Finance). CA/CFA (good to have).

- Experience: Experience in SME underwriting in a Bank, NBFC, or Financial Institution.

- Knowledge of Supply Chain Finance and industry trends (Good to Have).
