About the India Mental Health Alliance

The India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA) aims to reimagine and transform mental health discourse and practice in urban India through delivering capacity building programmes for professionals and communities, and catalysing alliances across diverse stakeholders in the mental health landscape. Our mission is to bring local knowledge and lived experience to mental health capacity building.

IMHA was set up by Founding Trustees Vasvi and Ashish Bharat Ram, in partnership with leading mental health organizations Amaha and Children First.

Key Responsibilities:

- Working with the Executive Director and the Domain Head on the development of an overall strategy for IMHA, including the Theory of Change, the programmatic framework, and the approach for creating and launching a national alliance.

- Creating and owning the operating budget for IMHA, including the capacity building and alliance work.

- Leading the processes of understanding end user needs, mental health professional requirements, and community strengths and challenges through different research methodologies, and bringing them together to inform strategy.

- Guiding qualitative and quantitative data analyses and helping inform strategic decision-making for capacity building programmes (relating to positioning, product strategy, pricing, partnerships, client success, etc.)

- Supporting the team on the overall design and delivery of capacity building products from concept to launch to evaluation, including competitive market analysis, product

conceptualization, pricing strategy, technical implementation plan, and tracking implementation.

- Keeping the overall strategy updated and current, and ensuring we use data and evidence to measure progress.

- Translating organizational priorities into clear execution planning and implementation.

- Working with the Executive Director on delivering special projects of high priority.

Requirements:

- Bachelors or Masters degree, with >5 years of experience

- Strong conceptual and tactical problem-solving skills

- Experience in consulting and strategy roles is desirable

- Excellent oral and written communication

- Execution-oriented mindset with strong project management

- Experience with developing programme or organizational strategy in the development sector

- Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams at varying levels of complexity

- Attention to detail

- Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving priorities

- Commitment to driving impact in the mental health space

- Fluency in English and Hindi

- Curiosity, empathy, and an eagerness to learn
