Strategy Lead - Engineering Services

The Corporate and Strategic Planning Division is an independent unit accountable to Director Finance of the Corporate Board for supporting the development of Business strategies and Business Plans and for developing and implementing planning and review mechanisms across the Group.

The Strategy Lead reporting to the Head of CSPD, will be assigned to the Financial Services business for which he/she will provide the above services, working closely with the CEO and the Finance teams of the respective businesses.

- Identifying potential opportunities in current and allied businesses. Articulating ideas using a strategy framework

- Executing business market research and analysis

- Analyzing strategic moves of competition and running a competitive intelligence gathering system

- Researching and evaluating acquisitions/joint ventures, divestments and other development opportunities including determining if markets should be entered through strategic acquisition or startup

- Facilitate to create a new business model / create improvements in the value system using value chain analysis

- Researching and investigating potential new product lines and markets that may complement the company's existing lines of business and areas of operation.

- Facilitating definition of critical business metrics and strategic achievement for the core business.

- Highlighting and facilitating deployment of any synergies within the portfolio (cross pollination of best practices)

- Facilitating generation and implementation of cost reduction/ process improvement ideas

- Facilitating capex projects (tracking costs and benefits and finding solutions to issues encountered)

- Driving periodic reviews - Quarterly, Annual Business Planning, Long Term Strategy Reviews, CAPEX Reviews etc.,

- Preparing major presentations for senior management and making presentations on behalf of management to communicate the plan.
