1. Relevant experience in forming & pursuing business strategy, executing M&A projects (close to 5-7 years). You may find relevant people from the Big 4 consulting firms (PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, E&Y) or IBM or Kotak Mahindra Bank, Edelweiss, IIFL, other Boutique investment firms or PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS, or international banks like StanC / HSBC / BNP etc who have an M&A vertical.
2. Very strong in financial modeling as required for doing the M&A calculations.
3. Well-connected in the logistics industry / sector (mainly contract logistics + MTO + Ecomm) + banks to be able to open discussions with interested parties by being actively searching for target companies with a right fit to ours domestically & internationally.
4. Will be part of the Chairman office and closely work with Chairman.
5. To start with, he/she will be a one man/woman or max two person army (and will not have a large team per say - however will have access to all the relevant verticals and information)
6. Preferably IIM/ISB/SP Jain/NMIS, MBA or equally well qualified. Age ideally within 35 years.
JD / KRA:
- Understanding of our business model and the sector / industry we operate in
- Understanding of the regularities/law that one need to be wary of for M&A
- Put together a framework / process around all the M&A / JVs
- Scan opportunities for consolidation in relevant space domestically & internationally using I. Bankers, consultants etc.
- Financial modeling basis the synergies, basis which he/she should be able to put together a business plan post coordinating with all the stakeholders
- Opening discussions with the shortlisted / interested opportunities
- Ensure end to end smooth integration post the M&A by mapping it to the laundry list of activities that one need to ensure
- High level of negotiation skills
