Job description:
General
- The candidate will be responsible for delivering projects in the area of Payments, Merchant Acquiring, Retail Banking / Payments Technology etc.
- S/he may be responsible for actual implementation in accordance with client requirements or project management for implementation that is carried out by the client or a third party
- S/he may be responsible for assisting clients with business, technology or operations operating model definition and architecture design, process efficiency, RFP creation for technical requirements, vendor evaluation and selection
- S/he would be called upon from time to time to provide expertise on new avenues in Payments sector for various client engagements
- S/he may be responsible in both pre-sales as well as project deliver areas. In both areas the candidate is expected to :
- Work with the Manager to understand & clarify the clients business & functional requirements for payments related opportunities.
- Provide a recommendation that addresses the customer's objectives, articulates the value proposition & eliminates technical or functional obstacles.
- Take responsibility in selecting the appropriate collateral and adopting it to the client specific situation during the whole sales / project delivery cycle.
- Manage project delivery and contribute to the project / pre-sales collaterals
- Share information & best practices with other consultants and company colleagues.
- Provide feedback to Manager regarding customer needs and competitive intelligence.
Leadership Responsibilities
1. S/he will interact with complex and strategic business partners and navigate extremely challenging project delivery situations
2. S/he will be expected to serve as a single point of contact for project delivery for client management, including C-suite personnel etc.
3. S/he will have to be up-to-date on industry, market, and external business factors, and leverage that knowledge to make better business decisions

- S/he will be expected to create and manage good independent relationships with clients
- S/he will have to build broad networks within the firm locally and internationally

- The candidate will be expected to be a strong contributor to knowledge sharing efforts within the team and the firm as a whole
Essentials:
- Project delivery and Business strategy experience
- Domain / Industry Functional and Operational skills - In Merchant acquiring
- Extensive knowledge of the Financial Services technology market, including contacts across different Technology firms
- Excellent oral and written communication, and presentation skills to enable seamless interaction across all levels of client functionaries

Academic Qualifications:
MBA / MS or equivalent (preferably from a premier institute) with a good academic background or Bachelor's Degree with strong domain experience
Experience:
- 5 +years of relevant experience
- Actual work experience in implementing Payments solutions or advising clients on them in India or abroad
- Has successfully been part of large deals and implemented business critical projects of large scope, including a large number of work group members and large budget
